Owner, Founder, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

It’s so nice to meet you.

Hi there, I’m Lamara, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with prescriptive authority. I have over 10 years of experience in providing mental health care to adults, teens, and children in a variety of settings. I have worked in psychiatric emergency rooms, inpatient psychiatric units, and outpatient mental health clinics.

I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Masters of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing as well as from Columbia University with a Master’s of Social Work. I also obtained specialized training in perinatal mood disorders and psychopharmacology through Postpartum Support International (PSI). While I have extensive experience, I also honor that each one of my patients is the expert of their own body and mind.

I currently work with adults and young adults struggling with a multitude of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma. Influenced by training as both a social worker and a nurse practitioner, I tailor my treatment to each individual person. I partner with my clients to optimize their overall wellness because I have a passion for providing inclusive care, social justice, and promoting patient empowerment.

More specifically, I utilize a strengths-based and whole person approach which assumes that all individuals have an inner resilience that can be utilized to live the life they want to live. I practice with the belief that all people have this innate capacity and fundamental desire for healing. I want those I work with to thrive and not just survive.
